Heavy Civil LaborerWe are currently hiring four (4) heavy civil laborers to join a team who is constructing an upcoming pipeline installation project. This is a great opportunity with strong pay, solid benefits, and the chance to gain hands-on experience with a well-established company.Work Location: NWRIP Bethpage, New York (must be within daily commuting distance, no per diem or commuting compensation will be offered)Position OverviewUnder the direction of the Construction Manager, the Laborer will provide support to civil construction activities including asphalt cutting, trenching, pipeline installation, bedding placement, compaction, traffic control, and basin refurbishing. This is a project-based role paid within federal provisions.All candidates are required to submit a legible and understandable resume that demonstrates experience within heavy civil construction. In addition, all candidates must have no prior convictions, have a clean drivers record and valid drivers license, be able to pass a drug test and physical that meets job standards. If you are unable to fulfill any of these need not apply.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport asphalt cutting, trenching, and pipeline installation activitiesLoad trucks and stockpiles excavated soil and asphaltInstall effluent pipe and place pipe bedding materialPerform trench backfilling and compactionAssist with restructuring and refurbishing existing basinsInstall erosion control measuresClear vegetation as required for construction activitiesFlag and control vehicle traffic in active work zonesPerform site restoration upon completion of workUse hand tools safely and effectivelyWork in a team environment in a safe and productive mannerRequired QualificationsExperience or ability to perform labor duties in civil construction (1+ years experience desired)Ability to work safely in a team-oriented environmentClean driving record with a valid driver's licenseDependable transportation and working cell phoneMust live within daily commuting distance of the job site.No convictionsAbility to pass drug screen and physical examinationCompensation$45.49/hour base rate + $35.98/hour fringeTotal: $81.47/hourJob Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Levittown, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $81.47 - $81.47/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
