Cloud Engineer (Azure/AWS)Soni is partnered with a client seeking a Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.Responsibilities:Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and compliance using native and third-party toolsDesign and implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover strategies to ensure business continuityOptimize cloud resources, configurations, and policies to align with best practices for governance, cost, and securitySupport cloud migrations from on-premises to Azure and AWSServe as SME for cloud architecture, operations, troubleshooting, and service inquiriesCollaborate with developers, network, cybersecurity, and IT teams to support enterprise initiativesDevelop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, standards, and operational proceduresSupport infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily TerraformParticipate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization effortsEnsure adherence to governance policies including tagging and cost management standardsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)6–8 years of relevant experience with 4–6 years in Azure and/or AWS administrationStrong experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and operationsHands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC toolsScripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog or cloud-native equivalentsStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsPreferred: Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certificationsCompensation: Up to $140,000 annuallyCompensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
