We offer a supportive team environment with a shared passion and common goal of providing students the education and skills they need to succeed in college and career.Apart from competitive salaries and 100% benefits coverage for employees and their dependents, we also focus on personal professional development.We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team!Job Description / Essential Elements:Job Title: School PsychologistDescription of basic functions and responsibilities:Gathers information, administers and scores individual tests; interprets test results for placement or counseling in various educational and psycho-educational programs.Major duties and responsibilities:MGM ScreeningGathers screening information on general school population for the MGM programAdministers individual psychological tests for MGM placementsScores tests, completes write up of informationInterprets test results to students, teachers and counselorsPsycho-educational EvaluationsAssembles data from interviews and recordsAdministers and scores appropriate individual testsMakes written evaluations of students based on test results and other data, and prepares educational plansConsults with counselors, teachers, and parents to implement reports and written recommendationsAdditional Special Education ServicesDevelops case reports for Admissions and Review CommitteeAssists with placements, individual learning objectives, reports to parents, follow-up evaluations, and hearings on educational plansAssists with applications and follow-up evaluations for students placed in private schools under EC 6870 and county programsOther duties and responsibilitiesConsults on designs, and assists in accumulation, analysis, reporting and dissemination of data for the district's comprehensive Special Education plan and other program development projects, as assignedMaintains liaison with feeder school programs and appropriate community agenciesAssists with in-service training, as assignedPerforms other duties as assigned by Psychological ServicesSupervision exercised or receivedSupervised by the Director of Special Services who works in consultation with the Special Programs Administrator where appropriateMinimum qualificationsSchool Psychologist credentialBA degree; MA preferredEvaluationAnnually by the Director of Special ServicesRequirements / QualificationsComments and Other Information** Newly hired unit members are eligible for year for year placement on the salary schedule with relevant verified contractual experience**
