Location / Division West Hills, CA / Transplant Diagnostics Division (TDX) How will you make an impact? The Senior Process Engineer will independently lead projects related to process design, implementation and sustaining. The successful candidate will be able to assess and improve exist manufacturing processes to maintain efficiency, cost deduction, improve sustainability and maximize profitability. What will you do? • Develop, configure and optimize manufacturing processes from inception to start up and certification • Assess current processes, take measurements and interpret data for improvement opportunity • Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. • Design, run, test and upgrade exist systems and processes • Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output • Research and incorporate new technologies and equipment to exist manufacturing processes for better efficiency and ease of manufacturing • Run process simulations. • Assess exist Process's Capability and Specifications and develop Process Controls to maintain a 6-sigma process where applicable. • Manage cost and time constraints • Perform risk assessments • Provide process documentation and operating instructions • Support Equipment PM and Repair as needed. How will you get here? Education Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer; Chemical Engineer or related disciplines. Experience • Minimum of 4-6 years of manufacturing experience in an IVD industry or cGMP and ISO regulations for diagnostics manufacturing • Experienced setting up Automation processes for Manufacturing preferably Reagent Manufacturing and Liquid handling. • Broad technical knowledge within own area of specialization and has significantly expanded knowledge of closely related areas • Experience working as a cooperative member of a Production team • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail • Plan and organize oneself in a consistent manner and maintain work schedules.
