This role is essential to the hospital's core mission, with strong infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship programs.To qualify for the Sub-Acute RN Infection Preventionist position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Pharmacy. Additionally, completion of a basic course in Infection Control recognized by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control (APIC) is required, or must be obtained within two years of hire. Applicants should have at least two years of experience in post-acute care. Furthermore, certification in Infection Control (CBIC-CIC) is required within three years of hire or transfer into this position. A current and valid Registered Nurse license to practice in California, or a Registered Pharmacist with a valid California Pharmacist License, is also necessary.Working as a Licensed Infection Prevention Practitioner means reporting to a supportive leadership structure that fosters collaboration across a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
