General Maintenance (Overnight)

This position has a schedule of 11pm-7:30am HVAC experience+ : Repair and maintain all hotel equipment and systems as directed by the needs of the DOE and employees. Graveyard shift needed. : § High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. § Ability to communicate in English with hotel guest, visitors and staff to their understanding. § Ability to provide legible communication. § Mechanical, electrical plumbing or HVAC experience helpful but not required § Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship. § 2+ years hotel engineering/maintenance experience. : § Perform the shift engineer's check list daily and report any abnormalities; perform the safety check list, fire-pump run test and generator run test weekly and address and inspect the parking structure including elevators. § Respond to guest and emergency calls within ten minutes. § Complete work orders in a timely manner; complete shop work in a timely manner. § Walk the hotel daily for burnt-out light bulbs. § Participate in Hotel Utility Management Program. § Enter all completed and non-completed work into the department log book daily. § Maintain safe conditions and procedures in work area and other associated areas; check working condition of equipment and report all deficiencies immediately to supervisor to be rectified; report any safety hazard to supervisor. § Perform all other related duties as assigned by supervisor; Assist other departments by providing lateral service when possible.
