Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer for a growing manufacturing corporation in the Carrollton area. The Mechanical Engineer will support product design, development and manufacturing efforts for precision assemblies and sheet metal-based products. This role requires strong CAD skills, practical engineering judgment and the ability to take designs from concept through production.This is a DIRECT HIRE and an IN-OFFICE position.Company will assist with some relocation for the right candidate!RESPONSIBILITIES:Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorksCreate detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMsDevelop products from initial concept through production releaseWork with sheet metal, plastic & Machined parts and fabricated assembliesSupport prototyping, testing and design validation activitiesCollaborate with manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers to improve designs and resolve production issuesPerform tolerance analysis and design reviewsAssist with continuous improvement and cost reduction initiativesSupport troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for field or production issuesQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldStrong proficiency in SolidWorksExperience with sheet metal and manufacturing processesUnderstanding of GD&T and mechanical drafting standardsExperience in designing for manufacturability and assemblyHands-on prototyping or manufacturing experience preferredFamiliarity with fabrication or production environments preferredStrong problem-solving and communication skillsPrecision components & assembliesAdvanced manufacturing environmentsSolidWorks certification3D printing and prototypingCross-function engineering collaborationProduct lifecycle ownership from concept to production
