Master Electrician
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about renewable energy and has experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning of solar PV systems. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess skills in materials ordering and forecasting, scheduling, and possess a strong ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) as it pertains to solar installations and technical knowledge local permit requirements is necessary to succeed in this role.
Strong people skills a must, as we are looking for a leader with a passion for educating, training, and ongoing development of our installation teams personnel.
Responsibilities:
Field Operations: Lead and manage field operations of solar PV system installations team, including estimating manpower and required materials for project staging
Forecast labor and scheduling for each project, ensuring timelines are met and projects are delivered on time
Create accurate bill of materials and perform cost estimating for project proposals
Troubleshoot technical issues related to solar PV systems, providing quick and effective solutions
Quality Control: Ensure that all designs and installations comply with NEC codes and local permitting requirements.
Collaborate with Operations and Installations teams, and communicate effectively
Requirements:
Master Electrician license
Demonstrated experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning of solar PV systems
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) as it pertains to solar installations
Experience with local permitting
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges
Comfortable with technology and ability to learn new software quickly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to create accurate bill of materials, forecast labor and scheduling, and develop detailed CAD designs
Ability to commute to Hutto warehouse or job sites (as required) M-F, with some Saturday hours during peak season
