Igor's Bike Shack is a new bike shop on Chicago's lakefront path brought to you by the owners of Edgewater's locally-owned award-winning bike shop Igor Does My Bike. The Shack, opening in March 2026, will be a hub for cyclists and tourists who want to get around the city like a local. We'll be offering repairs and rentals, as well as bikes and accessories for sale. We're looking for a team of bike mechanics to offer quick and efficient repairs. We're looking for an excellent communicator who can stay calm in a busy environment, knows the ins and outs of bike repair and is motivated to work. Minimum Qualifications: 1 year of shop experience or very strong knowledge of bike repair 2 years of customer service experience A great communicator (bilingual people would be considered first) Self-motivated; Can work independently producing quality results with minimal oversight Knowledge of both vintage and modern bike parts and systems Knowledge of e-bike components Can explain repairs in a confident yet non-judgmental way, whether the customer is a total novice or biking pro.
