Bon Secours seeks people that are committed to our values of compassion, human dignity, integrity, service and stewardship to create an environment where associates want to work and help communities thrive.Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care (Step down) - Maryview Medical CenterJob Summary:The Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient statusActing as the service line between Med-Surg and ICU unitsDetermining the priority of the patient's problems and needsDeveloping and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomesEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environmentEssential Functions:Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care teamConducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectivenessServes as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departmentsActs as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the departmentAdminister medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedEducation:Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)Certifications:Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (preferred, not required)Experience:1 year of RN experience (required)6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)Bon Secours is an equal opportunity employer.As a Bon Secours associate, you're part of a Mission that matters.
