Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Dynamics 365 Functional Developer for our client, a global leader in seed breeding and production. This is a full-time position based in Walnut Creek, CA, currently offering a hybrid schedule.POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Functional Developer to bridge technical development and business processes by configuring, customizing, and implementing Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations and/or Customer Engagement) solutions. Design, document, and implement scalable Dynamics 365 enhancements.Configuration & Development: Configure D365 modules and develop customizations using X++ and/or C#. Build plugins, workflows, and extensions to support business processes. Develop SSRS reports and leverage Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).Integrations & Data Management: Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems (e.g., EDI, CRM). Manage data migration activities, including data validation and transformation.Support, Testing & Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across environments. Conduct Functional Unit Testing (FUT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Monitor performance, optimize system configurations, and manage batch processes.Operations & Continuous Improvement: Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes (Azure DevOps, Git). Maintain documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides. Contribute to automation initiatives for deployments and system maintenance.Collaboration & Leadership: Work cross-functionally with global technical and business teams. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 F&O (AX) development and supportStrong expertise in X++, object-oriented programming, and performance optimizationExperience with integrations, data entities, and debugging across the D365 stack (SQL, AOS, services, SSRS)Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Power Platform, SSRS reporting, and SQLStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work with global stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)COMPENSATION & BENEFITSThis direct hire position offers a salary of $125,000 annually.
