New employees can earn $54K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 50-hour work week. This includes the base rate, overtime, retention and production bonuses. Machine Operator, 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM plus over time, including some Saturdays. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery in a manufacturing environment to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures. Monitor production output and quality to meet specifications. Assist with finished products by using banders to bundle finished products. Assist with break press operations. Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts for efficient material handling. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere to safety protocols. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required. Attach appropriate labels and tags to products Maintain work area and equipment in clean orderly condition. Work safely and follow company safety policies. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, cleaning, scrap removal and other tasks. Standing for most of shift Frequent walking, using hands and fingers to handle objects, tools and controls. Frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching Frequent use of close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and able to adjust focus.
