Line Cook or Prep Cook - Sunriver PubCompany Overview:Sunriver Brewing Company is a family-owned business founded in Central Oregon in 2012. Almost 300 team members represent three pubs and a brewery located in Central Oregon with an additional pub in Eugene. We are dedicated to awesome craft beer, delicious food, and engaging service. We're looking for a Line Cook or Prep Cook to join our team and operations at our Sunriver Pub in Sunriver.Prep Cook - Position Summary:The prep cook is required to perform basic cooking duties, monitor stock levels, and take on culinary tasks as they arise.To be a successful prep cook, you should understand and be willing to comply with food and sanitation guidelines and regulations, be quick and diligent, and be willing to improve on the job. A top-notch prep cook should be able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.Pay Range from $17 - $23 with an additional average tip allocation from $2-$6/hour.Prep Cook - Major Areas of Responsibility:Preparing simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.Setting up and sanitizing workstations.Following prep lists created by chefs.Measuring ingredients and seasonings and preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock to be used in the cooking process.Preparing simple dishes, such as entrees or salads.Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.All other duties as assigned.Prep Cook - Job Requirements & Skills:Food Handler's PermitCulinary school training would be advantageous.Experience as a prep cook may be advantageous.Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.High school diplomaLine Cook - Position Summary:Helps prepare meals according to our standard recipes. In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the chef's exact specifications.You will be responsible for preparing food, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
