Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in Oakbrook Terrace, IL on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Candidates are able to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.Overview:Join the project management team of a leading electric utility company to manage critical facility relocation projects throughout the Chicagoland area. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing projects tied to public improvements, requiring a unique blend of technical knowledge, financial acumen, and stakeholder management. You will serve as a key liaison between the utility, construction teams, and governmental agencies to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities:Manage the entire project lifecycle for utility relocation projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.Develop and control project finances, including creating forecasts and managing budgets.Serve as the primary point of contact for external customers, including state, county, and municipal government agencies, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Utilize your technical expertise to understand construction plans and manage the execution of work in the field.Create and maintain project schedules and report on progress using tools like Smartsheet and Power BI.Required Qualifications:PMP-certified with over five years of project management experience.Direct experience working in the utility industry, specifically with electric utilities.Proven experience managing construction projects.Strong financial management skills, including project forecasting and budgeting.Excellent customer-facing communication skills, with demonstrated experience working with governmental agencies.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Smartsheet, and Power BI.Must be located in or willing to relocate at your own expense to the Chicagoland area to adhere to the hybrid work schedule.Preferred Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree.A technical background as a Civil or Electrical Engineer prior to becoming a Project Manager.Sincerely,Preetam RajLead Technical RecruiternTech Workforce Inc.D: 410-505-4857 E: preetam@ntechworkforce.compreetam(at)ntechworkforce(dot)com
