Description:Employer: Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc.Job Title: Primary R&D Development EngineerJob Code: A011.4899Job Location: Blue Ash, OHJob Type: Full-TimeJob Duties: Lead complex assembly equipment vetting, technical assessment, design, and development in Ethicon’s Endomechanical franchise. Work with cross functional team members including external manufacturing partners to ensure equipment meets multifaceted quality system requirements. Lead design and knowledge transfer of equipment between multiple external manufacturers. Collaborate with the design team to verify that DFX (manufacturing, assembly, and cost) outputs lead to successful product design inputs and product/process outputs. Provide engineering and design services to manufacturing and production engineering groups. Develop concepts, designs, and details for machines, tools, fixtures, and products. Support bench and pilot scale up operations, including equipment assembly, medium preparation, in process sample analysis, and the operation of reactors. Participate in the scale up of and optimization of processes and technologies. Assist in performing downstream processing by preparing equipment, and preparing and controlling standard operating procedures, batch records and other compliance documents. Provide technical support to purification operations in pilot plant, including equipment cleaning/setup/prep, buffer preparation, in process testing, etc. Support and help troubleshoot purification operations. Participate in the transfer and implementation of new processes and technologies into the pilot plant, commercial manufacturing, and contract manufacturing. Provide input to the development process validation plan. Support safety and environmental initiatives by testing equipment prior to starting production.Qualifications:Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Primary R&D Development Engineer-related occupation.May require up to 25% travel (domestic & international).This job posting is anticipated to close on 8/2/2024.
