The Senior Manager of Outbound Operations plans, organizes, and executes material handling while taking exceptional care of our team to deliver a best-in-class experience to our customers. Creates a fun, safe, and growth-oriented environment, develops team, and discovers ways to continuously improve. Expected to maintain necessary reports, policies, procedures, and activities, including spreadsheets, training, and personnel records. Partners with Analysts and Leadership to align scheduling, acceptable goal setting for performance while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Directly manages Operations Associates, Operations Supervisors and Operations ManagersWhat you'll doEstablish, lead and communicate strategy to guide day-to-day activities of supervisors & team members to achieve all operational, customer-experience targets, and compliance objectivesOversees the pick, pack and ship processes ensuring all orders are ship accurately and on-time. We expect a shipment SLA of 99.98% with 100% fulfillment accuracy to exceed customer experienceReport out monthly on department performance KPI's to Executive LeadershipPerforms traditional management responsibilities including; interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews, associate development, conflict resolution and performance coachingWork cross functionally to create and improve department processes and procedures as neededProvides accurate, timely and complete daily performance analyses. Makes recommendations as to enhancementsEnsure safety standards are understood and followed through continued training and developmentCoordinate production schedules and vacation time while updating timekeeping reportsResponsible for managing and maintaining a world class facilityThis position may require auditing and assisting logistic activities relative to outbound shippersWillingness to work at all levels and extra hours/weekends when needed to ensure we meet demandWhy we will love youBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience7-10 years' experience in a service-provider environment that requires self-management and multi-taskingMust be proficient in Windows software (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint)Six Sigma, Lean, 5s, Leader Standard Work is a huge plus but not required•A strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountabilityMust work well with team to create trust, respect and exceptional service for all department levels and customersAbility to communicate effectively and clearly, both in one-on-one and group situationsAbility to consume needs from all levels, think critically and develop sustainable strategies that deliver resultsAbility to set priorities, schedule day events, prepare and give formal instructions while meeting deadlinesMust have excellent problem solving and decision making skillsForward thinker that can improve the department, make recommendations, and have a plan for implementing ideasMust be able to work independentlyStrong administrative skillsPerksMedical, Dental, and Vision (including discounts on contacts, glasses, and other vision services)Paid Time Off (3 to 5 weeks per year)401K with a company matchTuition ReimbursementCompany-sponsored eventsWellness ProgramWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
