Location: AustinType: Direct HireJob #20167Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 YEARThe HT Group is seeking a highly detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys and land development teams in matters related to annexations, boundary adjustments, and the formation of special-purpose districts. This role plays a key part in facilitating legal processes that enable governmental entities to expand or modify jurisdictional boundaries and finance public infrastructure through bonds and taxation. The ideal candidate will have experience with legal document preparation, regulatory compliance, and coordination with public agencies, along with a foundational understanding of real estate and property-related documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct research and review legal and property-related documents to gather and verify informationDraft legal documents, correspondence, and supporting materials for attorney reviewMonitor active matters, track progress, and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely completionPrepare and submit filings, requests, and documentation to appropriate agenciesReview ownership records, title commitments, lien reports, and related property documentationAssist with matters involving annexations, exclusions, land substitutions, and other boundary changesSupport compliance with statutory and regulatory filing requirementsCoordinate with governmental entities including county offices, appraisal districts, and regulatory agenciesCollaborate with internal legal teams, external vendors, engineers, surveyors, and financial stakeholdersRequirementsBachelor's degree required5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a legal or related environmentProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe AcrobatExperience working with legal documentation and filingsFamiliarity with real estate documents, legal descriptions, or entity formation documents is a plus
