You'll work at the intersection of computer vision, AI, and product design — building the tooling that helps the construction industry modernize blueprint reading, material takeoffs, and cost estimation. Your work will directly shape the product, the codebase, and the engineering culture from day one.This role is fully on-site in San Francisco, five days a week. US Citizenship is required for this position.What You'll DoDesign and build beautiful, intuitive user interfaces that surface outputs from computer vision and AI models to end users.Tackle complex geometric rendering challenges, streaming systems, and sophisticated user interactions.Rapidly prototype new product experiences and iterate based on direct user feedback.Collaborate closely with a small, high-ownership team across the full stack — from frontend to backend and AI integrations.Help establish engineering foundations, tooling, and best practices for a growing team.What We're Looking ForRequiredDemonstrated experience taking products from 0 to 1, ideally with paying customers or proven user traction.Strong frontend fundamentals in React and TypeScript, paired with solid full-stack capabilities.Proficiency in Python and comfort solving open-ended, math-oriented engineering problems.Strong CS fundamentals — an exceptional project portfolio can substitute for a formal degree.Experience as a founding engineer or early employee at a startup.Outstanding communication skills; empathetic, honest, and direct.US Citizenship is required.Nice to HaveProficiency with Tailwind CSS for building responsive, utility-first UIs.Prior experience as a startup founder.Background in construction, real estate, or PDF/document workflows.Impact-driven mindset with a bias for speed and ownership.Exceptional recent graduates with strong hustle and a fast learning curve are also encouraged to apply.Tech StackFrontend: React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, JavaScriptBackend / Scripting: PythonDomain: Computer vision model integrations, streaming systems, geometric data renderingCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $100,000 – $180,000 USD per year, depending on experienceEarly-stage equity commensurate with a founding engineer roleVisa sponsorship: Not available — US Citizenship requiredLocationSan Francisco, CA — fully on-site, 5 days/weekRemote work is not available for this rolePosted by Clera on their own careers page — you apply directly, no recruiter in between.
