As a QA/QC Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in materials testing, process verification, and compliance standards, helping ensure our projects meet strict industry and regulatory requirements.Main ResponsibilitiesAssist with field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as asphalt, aggregates, and concreteHelp monitor and document daily quality control processes on paving and construction sitesSupport the inspection and verification of installed work against project specifications and standardsMaintain accurate records of test results, inspections, and quality documentationAssist with sample collection and preparation for laboratory analysisObserve and learn QA/QC procedures, including material certifications and traceabilityParticipate in resolving quality issues and communicating findings to field and management teamsCollaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and safety personnel to ensure overall project complianceSupport continuous improvement initiatives for quality systems and processesQualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Materials Science, or a related fieldInterest in construction materials, paving, and quality assurance practicesDetail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsGood communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work outdoors and on active construction sitesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Previous exposure to laboratory or quality control environments is a plusColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
