Job TitlePlans and performs a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics maintenance functions to ensure all plant assets are properly maintained. Assist in prevention maintenance planning, development, and implementation.Job DescriptionPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Diagnose and remedy electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problem expediently and correctly.Hand fit precision machine components i.e. scrape ways, gibs, fit bearings, use precision measuring equipment, or be an expert welder/fabricatorUse advanced mathematics and formulas to fluid pressures and volumes, calculate loads, design tooling etc. familiar with drag and friction coefficients as well as harmonic vibrationAble to troubleshoot PLC programsAble to use Layout, install and maintain all plant equipment and assetsDetermine weight/load ratings, design and construction of hoisting equipment, lifting devices, mezzanines, and stairsUse multi-meters, oscilloscopes, schematics, technical manuals, etc. For diagnosing machine and equipment problemsComply with company quality and safety guidelinesResponsible to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired in accordance to published and/or posted safety documents, National Safety Code, OSHA standards or to manufactures recommendationsCOMPETENCIES:Advanced mathematicsHydraulic pressure calculationsHand/Eye CoordinationPreferred:Multi-skilled in maintenanceAbility to work independentlyTrouble shootingMillwright & machinistTECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:Directing the work of 2 to 10 personnelWork/facilitate in a team environmentISO 9000 ComplianceOSHA, NEC, EPA & Fire Code RequirementsVibration analysisHVAC, welding, fabricating, plumbingQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDCompletion of a college Industrial Maintenance Associate Degree program or of an Online Industrial Maintenance Course approved by NidecPreferred Qualifications:Calculate loadsDegree requirements for various electronic controllerRead blueprintsData tables, charts and other reference materialsPrevious employment in manufacturingAbility to work in a Team oriented settingGood communication skills both verbal and writtenPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
