Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role supports day-to-day facility functionality through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and continuous improvement efforts.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systemsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve issuesComplete work orders accurately and timely using a maintenance management system (CMMS), if applicableConduct inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needsRepair or replace faulty components, parts, and systemsSupport facility upkeep including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and structural repairs as neededFollow safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policiesAssist with installation, modification, or upgrades of equipment and systemsCollaborate with vendors and contractors when necessaryMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred[2–5]+ years of maintenance or technician experience in a similar environmentWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing systemsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to [50–75] lbs and stand/walk for extended periodsBasic computer skills; CMMS experience a plusPreferred Skills & ExperienceEPA, HVAC, electrical, or industrial maintenance certificationsExperience in [manufacturing / warehouse / facilities / property management] environmentWelding, fabrication, or PLC knowledgeForklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certificationSoft Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detailReliability and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamClear communication skillsAdaptability in a fast-paced environmentWork EnvironmentIndoor and outdoor work as requiredExposure to noise, moving machinery, temperature changes, and chemicalsPPE required based on taskAbout UsABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world's largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
