Medical Pancreatologist - Mass General BrighamThe Mass General Brigham Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital seeks a board-certified Gastroenterologist with special interest and expertise in medical pancreatology. We are seeking candidates who are deeply committed to the clinical care of patients with pancreatic diseases, including acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cystic lesions, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and pancreatic cancer. The successful candidate will play a central role in advancing multidisciplinary care, collaborating closely with colleagues in gastroenterology, pancreatic surgery, radiology, oncology, pathology, nutrition, and genetics. A proposed academic rank of Instructor in Medicine or Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will be primarily clinically focused, with opportunities to develop and participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes-based research programs related to pancreatic diseases. The candidate will contribute to the growth of multidisciplinary pancreatic disease programs across the Mass General Brigham system.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical CareProvide expert consultation in medical pancreatology.Participate in multidisciplinary pancreatic disease programs and conferences.Contribute to the evaluation and management of complex pancreatic disorders across the health system.Research and Scholarly ActivityParticipate in collaborative clinical, translational, and outcomes research initiatives related to pancreatic diseases.Contribute to ongoing and emerging multidisciplinary research programs.Opportunities exist for development of investigator-initiated research aligned with divisional priorities.Education and MentorshipParticipate in educational programs for fellows, residents, and medical students affiliated with Harvard Medical School.Contribute to teaching conferences, courses, and workshops.Mentor trainees and junior investigators, including postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, as appropriate.Mass General Brigham is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and is actively committed to increasing the diversity of our faculty: women and members of underrepresented minority groups are therefore strongly encouraged to apply.Candidates with a M.D. are eligible to apply.
