Job DescriptionAssociate/Senior Associate- Employment Location: Gordon House OfficeHours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per weekThe RoleForbes Solicitors are seeking an Associate / Senior Associate to join our Commercial Employment team. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a supportive environment while handling a varied case load of Employment matters.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging a varied / complex case load of Employment matters.Attending Tribunal hearings for a wide variety of hearings, including:Unfair dismissalDiscriminationTUPERedundancyProviding clear written and verbal legal advice, and managing communications with clients, opponents, Tribunals and third parties to progress files. Accurate completion of legal tasks and documentation, within the area of expertise; this may include legal research analysis, drafting, and calculation of financial liability.Supporting the wider team by assisting colleagues on cases, contributing to departmental objectives, and collaborating across departments on joint matters and projects.Acting as a mentor to Solicitors, Trainees and Support Staff in the team, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of the departmental business plan.Building strong client and stakeholder relationships, enhancing the Firm’s profile, and supporting business development.About YouWe are looking for people that can demonstrate the following:EssentialBe qualified Solicitor or CILEX with at least 3 years PQE.Previous experience of working within the Employment legal sector.Proven experience of handling own caseload, working to and managing deadlines, alongside the capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targetsDemonstrates good client care skills, providing professional and competent legal advice in accordance with SRA Code of Conduct.Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Aligns with the Firm’s values.
