TRAVEL Industrial Mechanic$38/hr + $150/day per diem (7 days)3-Month Project | Starts ASAPJob OverviewHands-on role supporting maintenance, repair, and rebuild of equipment, machine tools, and prototype units in a high-volume production environment. You'll troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems while assisting with prototype builds and rework of construction and agricultural equipment .ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and mechanical systems on construction/ag equipmentPerform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issuesDisassemble/reassemble equipment (skid steers, loaders) including major components (drive motors, pumps, clutches)Build, modify, and repair prototype units, assemblies, and componentsRead and work from blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawingsPerform fabrication and welding (as needed) for repairs and prototype buildsOperate shop equipment including CNC machines, lathes, mills, presses, and hand toolsSupport equipment installation, alignment, and setupMaintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and maintenance activitiesFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspaceRequired Skills & Experience2+ years in manufacturing/industrial OR heavy equipment environment3+ years hands-on experience with diesel engines or heavy equipment repairStrong mechanical aptitude (hydraulics, engines, drivetrain systems)Experience working on construction, agricultural, or similar equipmentAbility to read prints, schematics, and technical documentationProficient with hand tools, diagnostics, and repair processesComfortable with disassembly/rebuild work beyond basic maintenancePreferred ExperienceDiesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience (CAT, Cummins, etc.)Experience with skid steers, loaders, or ag equipmentFabrication and welding experienceKnowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems troubleshootingExperience with CNC or machining equipmentWork EnvironmentIndoor production facility working on prototype and production equipmentHands-on environment with heavy equipment, tools, and machinery3rd shift available with consistent overtime (10–15 hrs/week typical)Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of St. Louis, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
