Applicants for the Managing Director position should have a doctorate in a relevant field, with a preference for sociology, education, psychology, or public policy, and at least 10 years of post-doctorate experience in applied research, particularly in K-12 education. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in research, including experience as a principal investigator in rigorous studies, and senior leadership experience in a research institution, education non-profit, or government agency. The ideal candidate will be a champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will demonstrate the ability to convert research findings into actionable insights. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a complex portfolio of research activities are essential.
