Senior Estimator

Trueline's client, a prominent real estate development and property management firm, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Stamford, CT. This role will be instrumental in preparing comprehensive estimates and budgets for mid to high-rise residential and commercial office projects. What You'll Do as the Chief Estimator:Craft detailed and accurate estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractsCultivate and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliersParticipate in pre-bid conferences and conduct site visitsEvaluate subcontractor scopes of work and analyze quotes for optimal valueGenerate project bid status reports and ensure adherence to specifications and contract requirementsPresent cost estimates for customer proposals, factoring in general and special conditionsPerform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summaries, and input data into estimating softwareMaintain an up-to-date database of cost codes for historical referenceLeverage company and industry data for accurate pricing estimates Must-Haves as the Chief Estimator:Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field7-10 years of relevant estimating experienceAdvanced project estimating skills, including value engineering calculationsProficiency in engineering terminology to effectively communicate with various stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsKeen attention to detailAbility to interpret and organize construction plans and specificationsCapacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressureAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database softwareNice-To-Haves as the Chief Estimator:Experience with mid to high-rise residential or commercial office projectsFamiliarity with the Stamford, CT real estate marketProfessional certifications in estimating or construction management Our Client Offers:Competitive salary with bonus potentialComprehensive health benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) retirement planLife insuranceGenerous paid time off including vacation, holidays, and sick leaveTuition reimbursement programExclusive housing discounts on properties within the company's portfolioTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
