Senior Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities Network Engineering & Infrastructure Analyze, design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructureEngineer and maintain routing and switching environments using Cisco technologiesSupport network systems including:Routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNsTraffic QoSVoIP and IP-based devicesCritical applications and servicesManage network maintenance and upgrades to keep systems at appropriate release levelsSpecialize in one or more network engineering domains Cisco & Network Technologies Design and implement routing protocols including:EIGRPBGPOSPFImplement advanced IP routing, VLANs, SVI configurations, trunking, and access control listsDeploy and support:Load balancing solutionsWireless access points and controllersFirewalls and VPN technologiesDesign, implement, and maintain Cisco ACI environments, including:Multi-Site Architecture (MSO) for Data Centers Implementation & Support Install, configure, and support network management systemsInstall, configure, and support IP-based video solutionsProvide timely resolution of complex network problemsAssist computer operators and staff with software and hardware-related issuesProvide technical guidance and interpretation of specifications to internal teams Vendor Evaluation & Documentation Evaluate new and existing network products and technologiesDevelop documentation and recommendations for vendor selection and implementationAssist with the formulation of technical specifications for network systems and servicesResearch emerging hardware and software advancements Operational Excellence Complete assigned work in accordance with:Statements of Work (SOW)Service Level Agreements (SLA)Project plansCreate and communicate detailed status reports following department standardsAdhere to organizational safety, confidentiality, policy, and compliance standards Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Experience Minimum 5 years of experience engineering, implementing, and supporting TCP/IP networksHands-on experience with:Cisco routers and switchesLayer 2/3 switching, VLANs, SVI configurations, and migrationsCisco ACI environments with MSO Multi-Site Data Center architecturePalo Alto Firewalls (Edge, 5450, 450 series, GlobalProtect)F5 APM VPNExperience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise WAN and LAN environments Certifications (Preferred) Cisco CCNA or Cisco CCIE preferredAdditional industry-standard networking certifications a plus Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Core Technical Knowledge Expert-level switching, spanning-tree, VLAN trunking, and advanced routing (EIGRP and others)Strong knowledge of enterprise network systems and services:Servers, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VoIP, QoS, and IP devicesIn-depth understanding of routing protocols and their interaction with compute, storage, and infrastructure platformsFamiliarity with:Juniper networking appliancesCisco UCCX, CUCM, Finesse, and voice platformsCisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers, access points, and profilesCisco ISE and DNA Center Technical & Analytical Skills Advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and upgrade experienceStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusionsComfortable interpreting complex technical drawings, diagrams, and documentation Communication & Reporting Ability to write technical reports, procedures, and business correspondenceAbility to present technical information clearly to varied audiencesStrong verbal and written communication skills Physical Demands & Work Environment Primarily office-based with prolonged sitting and computer useRequires close vision, color vision, and focus adjustmentOccasional exposure to outdoor weather conditionsPossible exposure to infectious organisms during routine or emergency situationsModerate noise levels in the work environmentReasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities Key Skills Summary Network EngineeringCisco Routers & SwitchingWAN / LANFirewalls & VPNRouting Protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF)Cisco ACIPalo Alto Firewalls Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tucson, AZ. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
