Physician Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. This position is part-time, Friday's only and the first Saturday of the month.
Responsibilities:
Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations on assigned patients; assesses and treats acute/chronic medical problems and provides direct patient care
Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods
Writes progress notes on patients' charts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed; maintains other records as required
Supervises and/ or coordinates the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic
Provides health education to patients and families
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to supervise and train staff including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
Ability to perform medical examinations using standard medical procedures
Knowledge of primary care principles and practices
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures
Knowledge of drugs, and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects and proper administration
Ability to observe, assesses, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
Knowlege of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in area of expertise
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions
