As a key member of our activities department, you will assist in planning, organizing, and directing quality activities for our patients, ensuring their recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs are met. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care and making a positive impact on the lives of others, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.Responsibilities:Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs (includes entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and education)Chart patient progress and behavior in a descriptive and accurate mannerEscort patients to and from activitiesMake regular in-room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate in group activitiesExhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsAssist in the evacuation of patientsDemonstrate dependable, regular attendanceConcentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamPerform tasks that require sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during working hoursRead, write, speak, and understand the English languageRequirements:Must be a high school graduate or equivalentPrior experience with geriatrics preferredAbility to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionAbility to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitationMaintain professional working relationships with all employees, vendors, etc.Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresWhy Join Our Team:At Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing at Southgate, we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our patients.
