CPR Instructor

This is a part-time position. Pay is $24.50/hr. SUMMARY: Assist the Education Department in the implementation and instruction of the American Heart Association (AHA) programs by Life EMS. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure daily customer happiness Development and implementation of a variety of American Heart Association (AHA) - CPR and First Aid courses, providing direct instruction to students as well as mentoring instructors or student instructors assisting in courses Assist the Director of Education Centre in achieving department goals and educational quality initiatives Review student performance during course instruction Follow all policies and procedures of the Education Centre Maintain and submit records as directed by policy Attend meetings as requested by and for the Director of Education Centre Demonstrates the ability to represent Life EMS as an AHA Training Center Faculty member and oversee other instructors providing assistance within the training class Assists in the instruction of CPR Instructor Courses as requested by the Director of Education Centre Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: AHA BLS Instructor certification Evidence of instructor experience along with outstanding leadership and communications skills that demonstrate an ability to effectively educate individuals ranging from the lay public through other experienced health care professionals Interviewed by Life EMS designee Must be at least 18 years of age Must maintain a valid State of Michigan driver’s license and a good driving record Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Must pass all Life EMS pre-employment requirements as outlined on the Conditional Offer of Employment COVID-19 Vaccination highly encouraged PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
