Key Responsibilities
Perform oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, dental charting, and periodontal screening
Provide preventative dental care including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
Take and process digital dental radiographs
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and overall dental health
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Adhere to infection control and OSHA regulations
Collaborate with dentists and other dental team members to ensure high-quality patient care

This position is responsible for safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI) and accessing such information only as necessary to perform assigned job duties. The employee must comply with all HIPAA privacy and security policies, maintain the confidentiality of patient information, and follow organizational procedures designed to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of PHI.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an accredited Dental Hygienist course and SC licensure as a Dental Hygienist are also required. One year of experience working as a Dental Hygienist is also required. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess ability to communicate in the dominant language of the geographic region. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Vision and hearing corrected to within normal limits is required. Must be willing to work on mobile unit.
