Unified Communications Engineer / ArchitectPay Range: $45/hour to $78/hour 📍 Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid/Onsite as needed) | Full-TimeWe’re seeking a highly experienced Unified Communications Engineer / Architect to lead the design, deployment, and support of an advanced AI-powered contact center environment within a healthcare setting.This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone with deep expertise in telephony, SIP, and contact center architecture who thrives in complex enterprise environments.What You’ll DoLead end-to-end design, deployment, and support of a large-scale AI-driven contact centerArchitect and manage enterprise voice infrastructure (telephony, SIP, WAN, wireless)Serve as a technical SME across multiple projects, guiding engineering and development teamsDrive the department's strategy, roadmaps, and long-term architectural planningPartner with stakeholders to improve processes, workflows, and system performanceTroubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutionsOversee disaster recovery planning, testing, and executionMentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teamsDevelop technical documentation, white papers, and architecture standardsEnsure seamless integration of internal and external communication systemsWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)12+ years of IT or enterprise technology experience5+ years in a technical leadership or architecture roleDeep expertise in telephony, SIP, and contact center technologiesTechnical ExpertiseStrong experience with Nortel, Avaya, and Cisco Unified Communications systemsHands-on knowledge of:Voice network infrastructure design & supportPRI / SIP trunking, routing, and number planningContact center platforms and architectureWAN circuits and telecom integrationsExperience working with service providers (e.g., AT&T)Proven ability to manage capacity planning, performance, and scalabilityWhat Sets You ApartStrategic thinker with strong architecture and roadmap planning experienceAbility to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholdersExperience in healthcare environments is a plusWhy Join Us?Play a key role in building and modernizing a next-generation contact centerWork on high-impact initiatives that support critical healthcare operationsCollaborate with a mission-driven organization focused on innovation and excellence
