Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer
QA/QC Engineer – Utility Scale Solar & BESS Location: Texas (Onsite with travel to project sites)A clean energy developer is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to oversee onsite construction, commissioning, and initial operations across utility scale solar PV and BESS projects. This is a hands on field role for someone who takes pride in being the technical standard bearer on every site they walk.Role Summary: The QA/QC Engineer will manage quality oversight across the full construction lifecycle, conduct site inspections, coordinate with contractors and site personnel, and ensure all documentation required for commercial operation is complete and accurate. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for inspectors, client representatives, and local authorities on site.Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage quality oversight processes across the full project lifecycleConduct physical site inspections to verify correct installation of all major system componentsManage day to day site operations ensuring construction activities are executed safely and efficientlyCoordinate and supervise subcontractors, EPC contractors, and site personnelMonitor project progress against schedule and resolve issues before they cause delaysEnsure full compliance with HSE regulations and enforce quality control standardsInterface with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align design intent with field executionManage logistics and onsite material deliveriesPrepare and submit regular progress reports to internal leadershipSupport commissioning activities and performance testingCompile and maintain all closeout documentation required for commercial operationMaintain all permits, approvals, and project records in an organized and current stateRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant STEM field5+ years of experience on utility scale solar PV and/or BESS projectsKnowledge of PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and BESS technologiesFamiliarity with OSHA and relevant safety standardsProficiency in MS OfficeAbility to work on remote job sites and adapt to varying site conditionsWillingness to travel and work weekends as needed
