Quality Control Technician
Department: Particle Technologies
Location: Norton Shores, MI
Type: Full-Time
The Quality Control Technician’s role is to ensure or perform sampling, tests, analysis and measurements of raw materials, in process samples and finished product. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the testing lab and other quality control functions related to testing and analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Cleaning verification activities including surface swabbing and visual inspection of equipment and process areas.
Obtain samples and conduct raw material, in process and finished product testing.
Document test results and provide accurate and timely reports.
Coordinate sampling of purified and potable water as needed.
Coordinate sampling of compressed air systems as needed.
Coordinate routine environmental monitoring activities.
Assist with execution of cleaning validation verification activities.
Assist with lab equipment calibration activities.
Report and manage OOS events.
Assist with additional testing for OOS, deviation investigations and trials as needed.
Maintain compliance to current SOP’s and cGMP’s.
Prepare necessary documents and send samples to customers and outside labs for testing.
Assist with customer complaints and non-conformance investigations as needed.
Assist Quality Compliance Manager with tasks / projects as needed.

Required Education and/or Experience:
Related work experience in a GMP environment preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong problem-solving techniques and ability to make sound decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible in approach to changed priorities and/or deadlines.
Attention to detail and organization.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Related work experience in a GMP environment preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft office software including Access databases.
Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, “multitasking” environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong problem-solving techniques and ability to make sound decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible in approach to changed priorities and/or deadlines.
