For direct access to CEMEX Career Opportunities, visit us at https://jobs.cemex.com/.Job SummaryManages an assigned territory of the ready-mix organization, including the supervision of drivers, scheduling of driver and plant personnel with dispatch, coordination of job sites, management of plant operations, management of plant profit and loss statements, KPIs and management of raw materials.Job ResponsibilitiesPromotes safety within assigned territory and serves as an example using visible felt leadershipResponsible for reviewing and closing out all Safety Improvement Cards for assigned plant(s)Responsible for investigation and root cause analysis of any safety related incidentsReview and act on DriveCam eventsOverseeing the cleanliness of the fleet, plant, restrooms, and officesUnderstands that nothing is more important than the safety of CEMEX employees, contractors, and the general publicManages the profit and lost statement for assigned plant(s)Responsible for managing costs and key performance indicators for assigned plant(s)Expected to meet clearly defined profit and loss statement and KPI goalsDevelops, coordinates, and makes recommendations for area budget to managementResponsible for hiring and retention to maintain required headcountSupervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the transportation and production of concrete, and is responsible for managing and balancing the hours and workload of direct reports, including overtime under the Fatigue Management policySupervises drivers in assigned territory, including the recruiting, orientation, ongoing training, day-to-day scheduling, and performance evaluationsSupervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in daily preventative and minor repair maintenance of the plantSupervises the operation of concrete batching to ensure excellent quality that meets or exceeds designed specificationsResponsible for the quality and quantity of raw materials within assigned plant(s) and ensures proper handling, storage and testingResponsible for month-end inventoryEnsures that procedures set in place are performed and actions are taken to correct any deficiencies in plant operationsResponsible for ongoing improvement and support through Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives and projectsInteracts with sales team and customer service to coordinate efficient delivery of product and make recommendationsWorks with both the Sales and Quality Control team to identify customer service needs, to jointly coordinate, resolve and improve product and quality of serviceResponsible for ongoing improvement of the assigned plant(s) and surrounding area(s)Coordinates with Area Manager and Environmental Department to ensure the plant(s) for which he/she is responsible is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and requirementsCoordinates with Area Manager and Maintenance Department in the repairs and preventative maintenance of plant and equipment, including the development of pre and post-day inspections; ensures that minor maintenance to the plant at the request of the Maintenance Department is performedResponsible for ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipmentConfers with Area Managers and other supervisory personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performanceResponsible for the morale of all employees at assigned plant(s)Creates and maintains a professional and respectful atmosphere where everyone works together to attain plant-level goalsAdhere to all CEMEX, MSHA, and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant groundsMeet or exceed company safety standardsPerform other job responsibilities as assigned by managementQualificationsCollege degree, preferably in an engineering discipline, or 5 (or more) years of relevant working experience preferred5 (or more) years experience performing varied responsibilities related to plant production, safety, and maintenance;
