Health Information & Compliance Manger (Temporary Assignment)

Job Description: Shift: Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri Chapa-De is looking for a Health Information & Compliance Manger to support the company for 6-10 weeks. This opportunity offers a hybrid schedule after the initial handoff is complete. Salary: $38.45-$50.50/hour. Your Role: Maintain the security of patient health information, supervising the health information staff and overseeing all aspects of health information management, including compliance with HIPAA, AAAHC, and all applicable state and federal laws. The Health Information Manager effectively communicates and interacts with department staff members, other healthcare team members, patients, and external customers, while maintaining standards of professional services. Your Responsibilities: Investigating and reporting privacy breaches to CDPH Handling subpoenas and depositions for our providers Fielding consent, privacy and record release questions for the staff Monitoring unlocked visits and audits to ensure compliance with Medicare Facilitate the 340B audits Supervise the Health Information Techs Serve as legal experience for Health Information inquiries from employees Experience and Skills: Requirements: Active Registered Health Information Technician (R.H.I.T.) or Registered Health Information Administrator (R.H.I.A.) certification. Broad-based knowledge of PC based software systems and clinical information management systems. Must be knowledgeable regarding Health Information Management/Medical Record Department processes, including its application and evaluation of qualitative issues. Current and in good standing: CDL, proof of current vehicle insurance and DMV printout.
