Supports a broad range of HR functions with a strong focus on interviewing, employee support, data accuracy, and compliance. Maintains strict confidentiality while delivering high quality, detail-oriented services aligned with college policies and procedures.Essential FunctionsCampus HR Liaison & Employee Support: Serves as a primary HR point of contact on the campus, providing timely, accurate, and customer-focused support to staff, faculty, job candidates, and external stakeholders. Responds to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, hiring processes, and general employment matters with professionalism and clarity. Assists with benefit enrollment and benefit-related questions; stays current on all college benefit offerings and procedures. Supports coordination of employee and faculty development initiatives.Recruitment & Selection: Screens applications for minimum qualifications, verifies required credentials, and ensures all applicants move through the hiring process in compliance with college and legal standards. Schedules interviews, prepares interview materials, communicates with candidates, and participates in interview panels as needed. Supports hiring managers by guiding them through recruitment procedures, timelines, and best practices to ensure a consistent and equitable hiring experience.Personnel Data Management & Compliance: Reviews, processes, and audits personnel actions, including new hires, status changes, and separations to ensure accuracy and policy compliance. Maintains and updates HR databases and personnel files, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to retention standards. Prepares employment verifications while maintaining policy compliance and confidentiality. Generates HR reports, dashboards, and data summaries to support decision-making and compliance requirements. Processes new hire paperwork, verifies employment eligibility through USCIS Form I-9/E-Verify, and ensures timely completion of all onboarding documentation. Reviews, verifies, and inputs employee transcripts, certifications, and credentials into the HR information system.Job Description & Position Management: Assists with developing, formatting, and posting job openings across internal systems and external recruitment platforms, including social media. Reviews, updates, and maintains job descriptions within the HRIS to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with college standards. Collaborates with supervisors to ensure job descriptions reflect current responsibilities, required qualifications, and organizational needs.HR Systems Support & Process Improvement: Provides technical assistance to staff, faculty, supervisors, and applicants using HR systems, including the online hiring platform and HRIS. Troubleshoots system errors, guides users through system functions, and escalates complex issues when necessary. Monitors system workflows and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. Recommends enhancements to HR processes, documentation, and system functionality to support continuous improvement across HR operations.
