Senior Vice President of SalesJoin our team at Miller Transportation Group as the Vice President of Sales for our Miller Truck Leasing division. The Vice President of Sales is responsible for developing a sales and merchandising plan for the Leasing and Rental Sales Departments to meet the company's sales and profit objectives, on both an aggregate and individual branch basis. You will accomplish these activities through strategically planning, organizing, coordinating, and measuring the activities of all sales functions.RequirementsAreas of Responsibility and Ownership: Sales - Leasing and RentalDevelop and initiate actions to meet division sales and profit objectivesDevelop an annual merchandising plan that will identify potential Lease and Rental customers, maintain contact with our existing customer base and help in the achievement of the company's sales objectives, on an aggregate and branch basisKeep current on market trends, competitive activities, and pricingKeep current on used vehicle market trends, competitive activities, and pricingReview deals presented by sales teams and qualify for acceptanceSupervise delivery of the lease vehicles to customersHandle customer complaints expeditiously in keeping with company policySell all products as directed by managementAttend business and civic functions as assigned by managementSupervisionDirect all Account Managers and the Rental Manager to achieve the annual full-service Lease and Rental marketing goals. Assist Regional Managers and Account Managers in proposal preparation, presentation, and closingRecruit, interview, hire, and/or dismiss personnel as necessaryTrain employees to perform job functions successfullyPrepare and assign sales solicitation activitiesEvaluate and coach sales employeesAdministrationMaintain records for all Account Managers individually, Rental Sales team performance and activities, and review with managementReview all documents related to Customer contracts to ensure they are complete and meet all company and legal requirements and are properly executed. Verify that lease applications presented to finance and insurance sources are completed properlyPrepare sales reports, maintain customer files, and other recordsMaintain control over all Leasing and Rental department costsEvaluate operating performance as reflected by the daily operating controls, monthly financial statements, and other reports, and take necessary actions required to meet the budget and sales objectives of the companyAnalyze Lease and Rental operations and recommend changes to managementAssist management in developing company sales goals and budgetsYou Have the following experience:Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Commercial Truck Leasing and Rental industryMinimum of 5 years' experience managing sales teams within the Commercial Truck Leasing and Rental industry. A Bachelor's Degree. Possibly a graduate degree, not required. The ability to learn company systems necessary to be successful in this position. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong management experience over geographically dispersed sales teams. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and documentation as needed in this position. Work Conditions:Works at a desk in office setting, must drive and meet with customers and communicate orally and in writing.
