Bookkeeper / Office Manager

Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
Perform general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure financial data accuracy in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit & loss statements, cash flow statements, and budget reports to support strategic decision-making
Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate employee payments
Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions, including debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes
Handle administrative office functions such as supply management, scheduling, correspondence, and supporting team communication
Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards for non-profit or corporate entities
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero, Sage or similar platforms; strong proficiency in technical accounting concepts
Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and bank reconciliation procedures
Knowledge of GAAP standards and non-profit accounting practices is highly desirable
Familiarity with payroll processing systems and tax regulations related to payroll management
Ability to perform detailed account analysis and reconcile accounts accurately under tight deadlines
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy office environment
Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating with team members
