Project Manager
Job Summary:The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing Bowley Builder’s residential custom home projects from permitting through completion. The PM leads planning, budgeting, and coordination efforts while ensuring quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.Key Responsibilities:Project Management + Execution:Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from permitting to project closeout.Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating trades, suppliers, and logistics.Lead contract administration, including subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations.Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, and company standards.Track and control project costs, change orders, and financial performance.Lead progress meetings with clients, architects, and subcontractors, providing updates and resolving issues.Team + Subcontractor Coordination:Build and lead effective project teams, setting performance expectations and fostering collaboration.Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring they meet quality and timeline requirements.Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers, fostering their growth and development.Communication + Client Relations:Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers.Maintain clear, professional communication, ensuring project alignment with client expectations.Manage documentation, including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and progress reports.Problem Solving + Risk Management:Identify and mitigate project risks related to budget, scheduling, and quality.Address construction challenges swiftly and effectively.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related field preferred.Experience: 5+ years of experience in residential construction, including project management.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.Soft Skills: Ability to lead teams, negotiate contracts, and manage clients.Software Proficiency: Experience with Buildertrend, the Microsoft Office Suite, and construction scheduling tools is a plus.
