(No tickets and/or violations from any jurisdiction except parking.)/liliSufficient mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor problems./liliAbility to maintain passenger discipline to ensure their safety and well-being and protect against vandalism./liliSuccessfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status./liliMeets the health requirements required of all personnel./liliMeets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment./liliMust follow the guidelines of the Camden County Policy, File Code: 0142.1./li/ulpPosition: This is a position for Full-Time Schedule of Hours and is a 10-month position. Summer hours are available for summer programs. Salary: $31 per hour for driving. Agreement between Camden County Technical Schools and Teamsters Local Union 929. Interviews are at the discretion of the superintendent and/or designee and based on qualifications for the position./ppPosition Goals: To transport pupils in a safe and efficient manner and perform all activities related to the operation of the school bus./ppReports To: Director of Athletics and Student Activities/ppPerformance Responsibilities:/pulliConduct a pre-trip safety inspection of the bus prior to every trip and complete the related written bus inspection report(s)./liliNotify designated maintenance personnel of any mechanical malfunctions and/or safety hazards./liliNotify the proper authority in the event of mechanical failure or lateness./liliAdhere to established routes, designated bus stops and keep to assigned time schedules./liliTransport only authorized pupils./liliObey all traffic laws and observe mandatory school bus safety regulations./liliUse bus emergency equipment, including cellular phones, according to district guidelines and state laws./liliEnforce regulations against smoking and eating on the bus./liliMaintain discipline on the bus and report violations and/or vandalism to the principal or designee./liliReport all accidents and pupil injuries; complete required reports./liliParticipate in emergency evacuation drills in accordance with board policy and instruct passengers regarding safety regulations and other bus rules./liliPerform required interior bus cleaning duties following each trip and clean windows and exterior as needed./liliPerform other duties as assigned by the director of athletics and student activities or designee./li/ulpApproved: August 26, 1998/ppRevised: November 2, 2009/p/div
