We focus on each individual's unique needs and deliver the highest quality services possible by ensuring that each individual receives the right support, at the right time and frequency by a caring qualified staff member in the most independent setting appropriate.What We NeedThe Assistant Activities Coordinator will provide assistance to the Activities Coordinator in the development and implementation of a variety of activities associated with the Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) population.What You'll DoAssist with research, planning, and implementing ideas for programs and activities for the I/DD population based on individual preferences.Involve I/DD individuals with one-on-one or group instruction of activities at their level of comprehension.Interact with each individual with respect and dignity.Assist with agency and program functions.Transport individuals participating in off-site programs and events as needed on a daily bases, utilizing a minivan and a 12-passenger van.QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or older.High School Diploma or GEDExperience working with a special needs population is preferred.Experience with all aspects of creative content, arts and crafts, and directing activities for special needs populations is preferred.Valid Driver's LicenseGood driving recordJob Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pmRate: $16.00 per hourLocation: Monroe, NC 28110 and surrounding areasBenefitsMedical, Dental, VisionShort Term and Long Term DisabilityLife InsuranceTeladocHoliday PayPTO401-KAll InReach applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
