Painter (Non Union)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Painter to join our team for a full-time position. In this role, you will ensure that all painted surfaces meet our high standards of quality and finish, contributing to the overall excellence of our production process. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is able to patch and paint sheetrock walls in office setting, possesses knowledge/experience installing corner guards, and complete small carpentry tasks.Pay: $27.00 per hour.The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABMABM 2025 Employee Benefits (Frontline)Key Responsibilities:Project planningExperience with Scuff Master PaintAble to install wall blocking for monitorsKnowledgeable on reading floor plansComputer experience on ticketing systems, emails, Microsoft WordDaily & weekly status reportAbility to set up and work on ladders and scaffoldingBe able to lift 50 lbs.Daily clean up after task completionPlan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instrumentsMake standard shop computations relating to dimensions of workSelect materials necessary for the workPaint walls, woodwork, and fixturesIdentify surface peculiarities and determine the types of paint required for different applicationsPrepare surface for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holesMix colors, oils, white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistencyUse spray gun and/or brush to apply paintQualifications:A minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial or industrial painting highly preferred.Strong knowledge of paint types, application techniques, and appropriate tools for touch-up work.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Commitment to quality, safety, and productivity standards.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
