Role: SAP Industrial Consultant (PP/QM/MM)Location: Midlothian, TXHybrid – 3-4 days a week and needs to have industrial experienceW2 RoleBackfilling full timers that are moving to the S/4 HANA transformation. Accenture (AMS partner) so will do most of the work, but need somebody that can interact well with customers, document well, functional specs to take to Accenture and help out.Need people to support as is environment. Looking for Industrial/Manufacturing specific modules in SAP (PP, QM and PM, MM etc).The SAP Consultant I serves as a subject matter expert supporting business and manufacturing processes through SAP solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and service providers to analyze requirements, configure SAP systems, and improve operational efficiency across industrial environments. SAP Functional / Technical Fundamentals☐ Understands core SAP concepts for the module☐ Explains end‑to‑end manufacturing business processes (not just T‑codes)☐ Strong grasp of key master data objects☐ Can explain data flow and dependencies☐ Knows common SAP tables relevant to the module Module‑Specific Depth (check all demonstrated)☐ Configuration knowledge (when & why, not memorized steps)☐ Transactional flow & controls☐ Organizational structure handling (plants, storage locations, company codes, etc.)☐ Integration points with other SAP modules and MES/L2 systems☐ Clear understanding of S/4HANA vs ECC differences (if applicable)Module(s): ⬜ PP/QM ⬜ MM ⬜ PM ⬜☐ Uses structured, logical problem‑solving approach☐ Identifies likely root causes before jumping to fixes☐ Knows where to check errors (logs, dumps, queues, messages)☐ Can explain typical production issues and resolutions☐ Comfortable supporting live production environmentsTop Skills Details SAP ECC functional SME in industrial/manufacturing environments — 5–10 years (and related modules), strong grasp of end‑to‑end production processes, master data, integrations, and day‑to‑day “lights on” application support (incidents, enhancements, application guardian role) Business-facing functional consultant — able to engage stakeholders, understand plant/maintenance needs, document requirements and functional specs, and partner with Accenture for execution (not hands-on coding, but technically fluent) Operational support & troubleshooting expertise — structured incident/problem resolution in live production environments, understanding of ECC today with awareness of S/4HANA transition, plus exposure to plant/maintenance applications (AWS-hosted monitoring, maintenance portals, field enablement tools)Additional Skills & Qualifications Serve as a subject matter expert working with business processes peers solving problems, and advising on various business-related issues Analyze, gather requirements, design business processes, define functional specifications, and configure solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs Analyze, evaluate, design, and configure new computer software and systems Configure, develop, and implement SAP systems, and smoothly integrate SAP applications with existing IT business solutions Provide SAP system support, end-user training, and document SAP processes Participate in projects as an SAP expert Keep abreast of the latest SAP offerings, updates, and developments Work with Digital IT service providers to provide support to users, to deliver applications enhancements and on project activities Customer-Centric – Focus efforts to ensure internal and external customers thrive Technical Expertise – Understand all IT functions, cloud technologies, and services in use, and become familiar with the current direction in the infrastructure market Simplistic Agility – Foster simplicity and agility to focus on what adds value while resolving issues Accountability – Take initiative and assume personal accountability and ownership for goals, outcomes, and deadlines holding others accountable for achieving individual and organizational objectives.
