Virtual CTE - Teaching Professions Teacher - SY 26-27

ACCEL Schools is seeking a highly qualified Virtual CTE Teaching Professions Teacher for Pathfinder Career Academy that is dedicated to providing a superior education for all students in our 2026-2027 school year! We are seeking teachers who are excited to create a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning, life skills, career-based interventions, and career development. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods.The Virtual CTE Teaching Professions Teacher effectively educates high school students in conformity with the school philosophy and policies and rules of the governing bodies.Duties include:Serve as a teacher of record and primary instructor in the Teaching Professions Pathway for studentsTeach content area following the school’s course of study or as assigned utilizing technology and varying teaching modalitiesOversee and deliver curriculum that aligns to Career-Technical Education standardsPlan and execute lesson plans that align with all necessary state standardsAdapt and enrich the curriculum using multiple strategies and online tools in imaginative ways to actively engage students in their learning for enrichment or remediation purposesAlign material to State CTE standards and or create course material aligned to applicable WebxamsInitiate, recruit, and guide students through an active chapter of a CTSOMotivate students to achieve their full attendance, academic, and behavioral goals, as well as other goals identifiedMaintain a positive school environment through effective conflict resolution, collaboration, positive reinforcement, and educational leadership modelingMaintain a safe classroom environmentIssue discipline in an orderly fashion conducive to good learningKeep accurate records on each student such as grade books and progress reports, lesson plans, attendance records, and behavior/discipline recordsEstablish and maintain a positive rapport with students, parents, staff, school administration, and other stakeholdersMaintain effective communication on an ongoing basis with students, parents, staff, school administration, and other stakeholdersPerform student home visits as neededPrepare and administer all standardized tests as directedRecognize opportunities for teachable moments with studentsGather, maintain, and submit all student information and forms in a professional and timely mannerDevelops classroom experiences that teach students not only facts but how to apply what they learn to solve real world problemsPossess the knowledge to learn data and delivery systems necessary for the content, resources, and systems to create, manage, and assess engaging and relevant student learning experiences and support students in their learning experiences both inside and outside the school.Maintain confidentiality concerning all student information and any professional mattersUses computers and other technology provided to assist and support students in their learningParticipate in ongoing professional development activitiesWork in a professional and cooperative manner with others to achieve duties and responsibilitiesAttend and/or participate in school activities as directed by the Administration such as: faculty meetings (before or after school hours), open houses, commencement exercises, field trips, professional learning communitiesModels tolerance, global awareness, reflective practice, and the behavior we expect from our studentsActively assists in student recruitment and retention activities as directed by the AdministratorPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Ohio residence requiredBachelor’s degree in education or related fieldCurrent CTE teaching license required in preferred field, or the ability to obtain a CTE supplemental licenseStrong content knowledge in early-childhood education and teaching professionsExperience in research-based instructional practices for project-based learningFamiliarity with the Response to Intervention (RTI) processStrong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret student data to make sound educational decisionsPrior online teaching experience preferredProficiency in computer applications, including Google Docs, MS Office Suite, e-mail, and internet applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA passion for teaching and genuine care for childrenUnderstanding of and ability to manage confidential informationAbility to work well under pressure as well as effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistentlyAbility to work with a diverse and distributed student body and peer groupAbility to pass state and federal background checksAbout Us“We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” – Ron Packard, CEO & FounderACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students. The Company reserves the right to modify this information at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law. The annual starting salary for this position is between $43,000 – $51,000 annually.
