QC Technician – Ready Mix Concrete

And Like Clockwork!!Holiday, Vacation, Bereavement, Jury Duty Pay - All with No Waiting Periods!!Safety Boots and Glasses - Annual Voucher If You Need ItA Rock-Solid Employer with An Enviable Record of Success That Continues to GrowWhat You Will Be DoingConduct quality control tests on ready-mix concrete, including slump, air content, unit weight, and strength testingSample and test raw materials such as aggregates, cement, and admixtures for compliance with specificationsMonitor concrete batch processes to ensure consistency and adherence to mix designsDocument and analyze test results, identifying and addressing any inconsistencies or deviationsWork closely with plant operators, drivers, and contractors to resolve quality concerns and ensure customer satisfactionAssist in developing and modifying concrete mix designs to meet project specificationsEnsure compliance with ASTM, ACI, DOT, and company-specific quality standardsMaintain calibration and proper operation of testing equipmentConduct job site inspections to evaluate concrete performance and troubleshoot issues as neededSupport the implementation of quality control and safety policies and procedures.Enter test data into data management systemFollow proper company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations including OSHA safety and quality standardsWhat We Would Like From YouHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction materials, engineering, or a related field is a plus1+ years of experience in ready-mix concrete quality control, construction materials testing, or a related field preferredACI (American Concrete Institute) or TxDOT certifications preferred or willingness to obtainStrong understanding of concrete properties, mix designs, and testing proceduresAbility to interpret technical data and generate reportsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work in all weather conditionsAbility to pass background check, drug & alcohol testing and a physical assessmentRequired PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats.
