*Job Overview* We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our company's financial operations. The Controller will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, leadership skills, and the ability to analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making. Construction accounting experience is a plus, as it will aid in managing industry-specific financial activities. *Duties* * Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger management. * Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. * Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency. * Manage budgeting processes, forecasts, and financial planning activities. * Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. * Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation. * Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships to optimize liquidity. * Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team; foster a culture of continuous improvement in accounting practices. * Perform day-to-day accounting tasks with attention to detail; experience in construction accounting is a plus for managing industry-specific financial activities. *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Controller or in a senior accounting/financial management role. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls. * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. * Leadership skills with experience managing finance teams. * Construction accounting experience is a plus, providing insight into industry-specific financial practices. * Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems is preferred. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is desirable. * Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
