Product Data Manager

We are seeking a Data Product Specialist for Research & Measurement to join a Fortune Broadcast Media & Entertainment organization within their Data & Analytics function. In this contract role, you will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a suite of research and measurement data products — translating complex business and measurement needs into clear requirements, prioritized backlogs, and scalable analytics solutions. You will serve as the primary liaison across Analytics, Research, Ad Sales, Programming, and Marketing teams, working cross-functionally to deliver high-performance data products that directly inform how the business measures audiences, content performance, and advertising effectiveness across linear, digital, and streaming platforms.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning data or analytics products.Strong ability to translate complex research and measurement concepts into actionable product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.Advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.Experience with modern data ecosystems, including cloud data platforms, BI tools, semantic layers, and AI technologies.Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to present roadmap progress and business impact to senior leadership and executives.Experience in media, entertainment, or advertising analytics is a strong plus.Familiarity with cross-platform measurement (linear, digital, streaming) is a plus.Hands-on experience with Nielsen measurement and viewership data is a plus.Exposure to AI-driven analytics, machine learning, or intelligent agents is a plus.Experience working in Agile product environments; familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus.Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and enterprise analytics best practices is a plus.Responsibilities:Define, own, and execute the product vision and roadmap for a suite of research and measurement data products, aligning strategy with enterprise data and analytics objectives.Translate complex business and measurement needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.Oversee the end-to-end data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, and modeling across analytics platforms.Partner closely with Research and Analytics teams to ensure methodologies, metrics, and calculations meet industry standards and business needs.Identify and drive opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and agent-based solutions to enhance insights and operational efficiency.Establish and maintain data quality standards, validation frameworks, and reconciliation processes; collaborate with Data Governance teams to manage metadata, data dictionaries, and semantic layers.Work cross-functionally with Data Engineering and Platform teams to deliver scalable, high-performance analytics solutions; define acceptance criteria and validate outputs against business and data quality standards.Anticipate and manage risks related to data changes, vendor updates, and metric evolution or deprecation.Serve as the primary liaison across Analytics, Research, Ad Sales, Programming, and Marketing teams; drive product adoption by ensuring solutions are intuitive, well-documented, and aligned with user workflows.Gather continuous stakeholder feedback to refine product capabilities and enhance the end-user experience.Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, and business impact clearly to senior leadership and executives.What’s in it for you?High-visibility contract role at a Fortune Broadcast Media & Entertainment organization with direct ownership of a suite of research and measurement data products.Opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and AI in a fast-moving media environment spanning linear, digital, and streaming platforms.Cross-functional exposure across Analytics, Research, Ad Sales, Programming, and Marketing — with a direct line to senior leadership.Collaborative environment that values data-driven decision-making, continuous product improvement, and in
