Title: Project Manager – Electric Service Request Application (ESAP) Duration: 6 months Location: Remote (Client based in Seattle, WA) Pay range: $58-63/hr on W2 Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a modern Electric Service Application Platform (ESAP). This platform will serve as a customer-facing intake and workflow system supporting electric service requests and distributed energy resource (DER) interconnections. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and can effectively manage large-scale IT implementations while aligning cross-functional teams and vendors. Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the full project lifecycle: charter, planning, execution, cutover, and closeoutBreak down large implementations into manageable use cases and workstreams, such as:New service requestsDER interconnection intakeWorkflow automationSystem integrationsManage scope, schedule, budget, and resources, ensuring accuracy and transparencyLead cutover planning, data migration, and transition to steady-state operationsDrive and support RFP/procurement processes to select platforms (e.g., Accela, PowerClerk, GridUnity) and system integratorsDefine and finalize contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs)Manage vendors and ensure accountability for deliverables, timelines, and qualityAct as the primary project liaison across business units, IT, operations, cybersecurity, and executive leadershipDevelop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication plansProactively identify risks and issues, providing solutions and mitigation strategiesOversee requirements gathering, design reviews, and system configuration decisionsLead testing phases including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Ensure completion of documentation, SOPs, and training prior to go-liveEnforce security and compliance standards Must have:Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)7+ years of Project Management experience delivering complex, customer-facing technology solutionsExperience within utility, energy, or infrastructure sectorsPMP certification or equivalent experienceProven experience managing multi-vendor environments and system integratorsHands-on experience with enterprise system integrations (e.g., WAM, GIS, CRM, billing systems)Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, operational, and executive levelsAbility to break down large-scale implementations into phased deliverablesExperience with electric service request, permitting, or interconnection workflowsFamiliarity with platforms such as Accela, PowerClerk, GridUnity, or similar toolsExperience with customer-facing utility applications (self-service portals, service request systems)
