CNC Operator

Job Description Position Overview Seeking a skilled CNC Setup Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machining equipment to produce precision, tight-tolerance components for highly regulated and high-specification industries. This role requires strong technical machining expertise, blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to independently execute setups, inspections, and process adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up CNC mills, lathes, and turning centers for production runsInstall, align, and qualify tooling, fixtures, vises, chucks, and work holding devicesLoad CNC programs and perform offsets and minor program adjustments as neededRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T, customer drawings, and work instructionsConduct first-piece inspections and verify conformance to specificationsUse precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and indicatorsMonitor machining operations and adjust offsets to maintain quality standardsTroubleshoot tooling, machine, and process issues to reduce downtimeVerify feeds, speeds, tooling life, and cutting conditionsComplete required production and quality documentation accuratelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentCollaborate with programmers, engineers, quality personnel, and supervisors to improve processes and resolve issues Required Qualifications3+ years of CNC machining experience3+ years of blueprint reading experienceExperience setting up CNC machining centers and/or lathesAbility to hold tight tolerancesStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExperience using precision measuring instrumentsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred QualificationsExperience with multi-axis machiningExperience with program edits and offset adjustmentsBackground in aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-precision manufacturingExperience with complex setups and short-run production environments Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift tooling, fixtures, and materials as requiredComfortable working around CNC machinery and manufacturing environmentsAbility to perform repetitive precision inspection tasks Please send all resumes to sabrina.pike@gogpac.com.
